Stuck Like Glue

I love this song. The video is really silly, but the words, they’re perfect.

Because Babe…you and me…we’re stuck like glue.

And thank goodness because I can’t help but look at our little life and laugh. Laugh at the chaos. Laugh at our squabbles.

There are days when Jack has dog poop in his ear (how does this happen?) and I have 3-day hair and the baby is in the same spit-up jammies he wore to bed last night. Toys are everywhere and the laundry is piled up and there really truly isn’t anything for dinner…but it doesn’t matter because you’re late anyway.

To say our life can sometimes be unromantic would be an understatement. Between the toddler antics and the baby spit-up not to mention those little details like work and mortgage payments and family and all the other things that make up our life, sometimes the ‘me and you’ gets a little lost in the shuffle.

But one thing is for sure, I wouldn’t trade one second of this wild, chaotic, sometimes disgusting beautiful, amazing life we have for anything in the world.

It’s you and me babe. And I’m stuck to YOU like glue.

Because our life right now? Wow. Sometimes there just aren’t words.
