A Little Walk on a Sunny Day

It’s not easy to get a group shot. Especially when the sun is in your eyes. Poor Jack.

Sunday was a gorgeous day here in our little town. The sky was brilliantly blue, making the yellow, red and orange leaves on the trees stand out even more.

After filling our bellies with homemade pumpkin waffles, we headed out for a leisurely little walk through the canyon. We had a creek on one side and lots of beautiful changing leaves to admire. It had been raining the past day or two, making the air smell that much more fresh and clean.

It was one of those great ‘family’ moments, where Aaron and I grab hands and give each other that knowing smile. Jack was happy, chattering away on Aaron’s back. Luke was snuggled in against me, sleeping. The scenery was gorgeous and we were together. We could both picture a few short years from now when our boys are running ahead of us on the trail, exploring and discovering.

It was a really sweet moment. The perfect way to wrap up the weekend.

Remington, of course, had to take a dip in the river.
