We had a sick week last week. I don’t mean to get all dramatic, but we combined two sick parents, a sick toddler who also happens to be having night terrors and a 6-month-old who decided to go ahead and have a growth spurt and maybe work on a few teeth, resulting in multiple night feeding/soothing/comforting/drinks of water…you get the idea.
Last week was a rough one.
The upside is my house is refreshingly clean. The carpets were professionally cleaned (did I mention this was a stomach bug we shared???), as was the couch. The bathrooms have been scrubbed and then rescrubbed. Sheets are clean, the towels have been washed, even the bath mats found their way into the laundry pile. It won’t last more than another day or two, but I quite like my house when it’s so nice and sparkly!
Come on over, we are healthy and germ-free. (for today).
In the midst of the yuck, a few sweet moments were captured. Jack discovered forts. (although he calls them ‘ forks.’)
And he insists that Luke join him.
Luke’s not as smitten with the whole fort thing, but he’s going with it. This kid is already a really good sport.
Poor kid, I don’t think he ever got out of jammies last week.
Thankfully, we are back to healthy. I’m loading us up on vitamins and probiotics and saying prayers we make it through the rest of winter healthy.
How was your weekend?
