This question was posed over at Enjoying the Small Things this morning and it seems like such a sweet and right way to kick off November.
I love…
The gorgeous deep red, rust orange and sunshine yellow leaves against still-green grass and happy blue skies.
The many white pumpkins scattered around the house
Fleece jammies on tow-headed babies
The way Jack curled into me on the couch this morning, the weight of his little body keeping me warm as we snuggled in the pre-dawn darkness
Pumpkin muffins for breakfast and hot coffee (those pumpkin muffins took the edge off a 5:30am wake-up call from Mr. Luke)
I wrote a children’s book about a year ago, yesterday was the first time I got to see it in its published form
Interesting and challenging work projects
A few hours to myself yesterday to get a haircut. A couple of inches shorter, a few highlights and I feel like a new person.
The way my little family laughed and laughed last night as we played silly games, throwing the football around the living room, chasing and wrestling before finally flopping onto the ground, exhausted, to thumb throw a stack of books. The boys were happy. We were happy. We were together, it was perfect.
I would love to read your children’s book! And, eat your pumpkin muffins 🙂
